State Regent’s Project 2006-2009:

The National President’s Project is Headquarters Rejuvenation.

This will include, but not be limited to plaster and painting. Work will start with the top floors where there is the most need and continue downward as the resources become available.

The DC State Society has pledged the necessary funds for the rejuvenation of the third floor front bedroom. This directly supports the project of the President National and emphasizes the historic connection between the home at 2205 Massachusetts Avenue and our members in the DC State Society.

Keith Rocco, with his completed painting

National President's Project 2003-2006:

Commission two paintings depicting scenes in Jamestown in the winter of 1698, just prior to the move of the capital to Williamsburg. The paintings would represent the significant role women played in the settlement of the Jamestown Colony, circa 1698, and ultimately the nation. Keith Rocco was selected as the artist. His artistic and fluid style and extensive research of his subject have made Rocco one of the nation's most respected narrative artists. His work can be found in the National Park Service, Andrew Mellon Foundation, National Guard Heritage Series and numerous private collections where it hangs alongside Frederick Remingtons, Frank Schoonovers and other landmark American illustrators.
